Big Data 2013 plista

Die Big Data Week ist eine weltweite Veranstaltung, um Menschen die sich für Big Data und ihrer Anwendung interessieren, zusammen zu bringen. In über 25 Städten ging es eine Woche lang – vom 22. zum 28. April 2013 – um die Anwendung von Big Data in Industrie, Technologie und Politik.

Auch in Berlin wurden, als eine der weltweit teilnehmenden Städte, über 10 Veranstaltungen organisiert.
Eines dieser Events war der Data Science Day unter dem Motto “Data Driven Product Development”. Hier wurden beim Recommender Stammtisch die Neuerungen in der nächsten Apache Mahout Version Neofonie vorgestellt: ein neues Produkt rund um Informationen und Analyse.
Diverse Usergroups aus elasticsearch, MongoDB, R und node.js haben ihre Treffen veranstaltet um ihr Wissen zu teilen und neue Entwickler zu begeistern. Weiter fanden Hackathons zu mehreren Mottos statt. Wir – die plista GmbH – haben unsere Schnittstellen geöffnet und den Entwicklern erlaubt Empfehlungen über unsere Plattform auszuliefern. Im weltweiten Hackathon ging es um das Motto “Wie gesund ist deine Stadt.”
