In July we published an infographic about the global ad consumption during the day, per weekday and device usage. Now we want to take a closer look at the user behavior in the United Kingdom.
About the United Kingdom
The United Kingdom is situated off the north-western coast of the European mainland. It includes the island of Great Britain (which consists of England, Scotland and Wales), the north-eastern part of Ireland and many smaller islands. It has a population of about 64.4 million people. There are about 58.9 million internet users in the UK which makes up 91% of the population.
Ad Consumption Behavior in the UK
Deloitte’s sixth annual mobile consumer survey says that people in the UK have never been using their smartphones more often than in 2016 and that 4 out of 5 adults own a smartphone. This trend is also shown in our infographic where you can see that about 58% use smartphones and the dominant operating system here is iOS with 34%. For desktop, Windows still is the most popular used OS with 32%.
